James F. West is a 2016 graduate of St. John's University School of Law and is currently admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. His practice is concentrated on real estate transactions, condominium and cooperative law, and general corporate law. Prior to joining the firm, James worked in Staten Island representening an extensive amount of clients in the New York and New Jersey area relative to residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and financing. Additionally, his representation included advising a number of small to large businesses and non-profit organizations relative to corporate formation and governance. He has been a guest speaker for Supporting Strategies, presenting to small business owners and start-ups regarding corporate formation at their annual Business Fundamentals Bootcamp Event. He has paneled a number of alumni speaker events for his alma mater, St. John's University, including events at the School of Law. James previously served on the boards for the Young Professionals Group of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce and the Staten Island Business Outreach Center. In his spare time, James enjoys reading comic books. He combined his love for comic books with a mission to do good when he formed Comics For Courage, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to donating comic books to underprivileged children. He also performs in community theatre. He enjoys cooking and, despite his better judgment, the New York Mets.
